I am using the plugin to embed an FB album in a widget in the footer of www.sugarloafculinary.com. IT’s the ‘Gallery Preview’ widget in the bottom right corner of the page.

I’m using the following shortcode:

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2014334445475083&type=1&l=2b009df760

.

This used to work flawlessly and then all of a sudden it started displaying started displaying just a link to the album, followed by the following error message from the Facebook API:

Error: (#10) To use ‘Page Public Content Access’, your use of this endpoint must be reviewed and approved by Facebook. To submit this ‘Page Public Content Access’ feature for review please read our documentation on reviewable features: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review. (only visible to admins)

Does each individual web site using this plugin REALLY have to go through the App Review process with Facebook? Is there no change that can be made to the plugin itself that prevents this? This seems RIDICULOUSLY inefficient.

If that is the case, some guidance for getting through that process (i.e. creating a test app, test users and preparing ALL the other materials/info that the documentation states must be included with the submission, etc) would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone from WPEmbedFB please comment on this, as right now the plugin is useless, driving me to seek out another that meets my requirements without all of the Facebook hoops.

Thanks!!

I’m having the same issue. If you find a solution please let me know. Thanks

So the issue is that you need permission from Facebook to access via API this kind of data if the site you are trying to embed is not your own your only choice is to go through the approval process of your App. If the URL you are trying to embed is from one of your fan pages you can authorize it using the premium add-on, it will allow you to embed content from pages you own.

Please keep in mind that all of this functionality is very intricated and complex and as much as I would like to give it for free it has cost me more than sweat to get it working, give the premium add-on a chance use the 2 weeks free trial to see if it works for you.

I have the same problem. You suggest trying the premium add-on. Is that https://wpembedfb.com/addons/extended-embeds-add-on/?

The description for that add-on doesn’t say anything about embedding albums.

When I try to order the Extended Embeds Add-on, I get this message:

“Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.”

I’m in Texas and can’t think of a reason there would be a problem.

The payment gateway is now fixed thanks for reporting the issue.
